Flat Holm is the southernmost point of Wales, the island features a 17th century Lighthouse, fortifications form various wars, enormous (17t) cannons lying around, a former Cholera hospital and even a Roman lead mine. The first radio message over open water was broadcast from here by G.E.C. Marconi. It said "Are you ready?"
